Four IFSTA Executive Board members were reelected on July 8, 2023, at the 90th Anniversary IFSTA Summer Validation Conference and will serve an additional three-year term.
Deputy Fire Chief Bradd Clark, Palm Coast Fire Department, Florida; State Fire Administrator Jeffrey Morrissette, Windsor Locks, Connecticut; Fire Captain Dan Ripley, Lincoln, Nebraska; and retired Deputy US Fire Administrator Denis Onieal, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; were all reelected to the board.
Clark, Morrissette, Ripley and Onieal will serve on the IFSTA Executive Board with Stephen Ashbrock, Cincinnati, Ohio; Thomas Breyer, Washington, D.C.; Mary Cameli, chair, Mesa, Arizona; Tom Jenkins, Rogers, Arkansas; Scott Kerwood, Hutto, Texas; Gordon Lohmeyer, College Station, Texas; Jonathan Lund, Des Moines, Iowa; Dan Madrzykowski, Gaithersburg, Maryland; Demond Simmons, Oakland, California; Josh Stefancic, vice chair, Safety Harbor, Florida; and Mike Wieder, executive director, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Duties of the board include establishing projects and policies, approving scope and purpose statements, approving titles for new and revised training materials, maintaining external relations with other organizations, and advising Fire Protection Publications on pertinent matters.
